I always felt some kind of kinship with them. Children are so often made to fit into whatever mold adults want to convert them into. Like a plant forced to live in a narrow crack. But slowly, slowly, if you manage to steal enough unsupervised moments, you will become like one of those big, beautiful grown bushes that are found in wastelands.
